I'm not sure what's in the air but there seem to be a lot of babies being born this Spring. We've worked on several nursery projects in the recent months. Here is a baby nursery we just finished. Although the client was having a girl, she did not want "typical" girl colors like pink. Instead, we chose a soothing aqua green with cream, tan and gold accents. We made a beautiful crib treatment which consited of silk striped fabric draped from a gold crown. The before and after transformation is dramatic!

Ever tried to catch some z’s on a sleeper sofa and wake up feeling like you slept on a rock? Sleeper sofas are not a common request, however, they are very practical when it comes to designing small spaces in which furniture must be multi-functional. For example, they are perfect for that Office or Den that must double as a Guest Room in a pinch. Fortunately, sleeper sofa mattress technology has come a long way. We are now using a revolutionary mattress that combines air AND coils to offer the support of traditional bedding with air cushioned comfort. This mattress …
READ MORE...

One of our favorite design trends of late is refreshing and bold geometric patterns. This trend can be seen among rugs, fabrics and wallcoverings. These patterns are often a new take on a trellis, greek key, or other traditional pattern and add a fresh twist to any space. Refreshing geometrics can be adapted to modern or traditional interiors. Some are understated and others are bold. Some are bright and others are subdued. Some are structured and others are not. However, one thing is consistent: a refreshing geometric can be a wonderful accent...perfect for throw pillows, head boards, drapes. Better yet, …
READ MORE...

Color authority Pantone, has proclaimed that the color of 2012 is ...Tangerine Tango Orange. Based on the premise that what we see on the runways today, we'll see in living rooms tomorrow, fashion designers including Tommy Hilfiger, Nanette Lepore, Cynthia Steffe, Elie Tahari and Adrienne Vittadini, are incorporating a lot of this shade of orange into their spring collections. Be prepared to see orange everywhere…..not the orange of an orange, but rather the hues and tints of bittersweet, coral, and tangerine. Clients can now add a pop of color to an otherwise neutral room with the hopes of adding a …
READ MORE...
